Re: [Sep. 2010 Event] Revolution Scramble!
Kin winced at how Dia's match went.
"Well, it's okay, Dia. Just keep blasting up the hill with Spark, hitting whoever you come across. The scratch them"
OCC: Wow, I feel repetitive.

DM grins as he calls to Mankey
"Great Job Mankey! now get a Covet off to catch your opponent off guard, before you dump a load of Rock Slide on whoever you meet!"

Will whooped out for Chili. Calculating the scores so far, it looked like Chili had a 3. 3/4 was probably a very good score, and all they had to do was keep it up. "Chili, Smokescreen followed by Flame Wheel!"

Joshua smiled slightly as Yuki was able to at least come out of a round without a loss. The little Snorunt was doing admirably racing up the hill, and now it was time for a change of plans.
"Yuki, new tactic. Powder Snow your opponent this time first, then use Double Team to protect yourself!" Joshua had noticed the flight prowess of Gligar to be debilitating to his strategy, so a change was in order.

Gale smiled at Mudkip's victory, (regardless of the fact that it was all RNG luck). He happily ordered Mudkip "Growl at the next Pokémon you see then Tackle them out of the way, just keep running as fast as you can!"

Marion cringed at his Nincada's progress so far, but continued to cheer her on.

Sighing at his Pokémon's apparent inability to listen to any orders he was giving it, he quickly moved on to, well, practically order the same orders again.
"Boulder, please, Tackle your next opponent down, and then spray some Mud Sport at them."

Re: [Sep. 2010 Event] Revolution Scramble!
(Seeing as I just deleted my event post before I was about to finish, I will try to replicate it in a fraction of the time it took me to write the original. I'm going to ref the round the same way I had it before, just it might be below standard descriptively. My apologies. xd)
Match 1 - Natsu's Mudkip, Takumi vs Will's Cyndaquil, Chili: Takumi uses Double Team while Chili uses Smokescreen. Both Pokémon keep racing and once the smoke starts to clear, Takumi hits Chili with Water Pulse while Chili misses with Flame Wheel. Advantage: Takumi.
Match 2 - Dave's Turtwig, A'Tuin vs Tobias's Swablu, Cotton: Both Pokémon attack at the same time, A'Tuin's Tackle and Cotton's Peck colliding. Cotton then uses another Peck on A'Tuin while he counters with a powerful Revenge attack. Advantage: Tie.
Match 3 - Marion's Nincada vs Yougi's Gligar: Gligar swoops in for a Bite while Nincada protects herself with Harden. Gligar then uses an ineffective Poison Sting while Nincada counters with a Scratch attack. Advantage: Nincada.
Match 4 - Gale's Mudkip vs Kaito's Pikachu, Nezumi: Mudkip Growls at Nezumi, who is unaffected and hits Mudkip with Thundershock. Mudkip then meets Nezumi's Bite with a Tackle attack to cancel out each other. Advantage: Nezumi.
Match 5 - Joshua's Snorunt, Yuki vs Kin's Sentret, Dia: Dia rushes in with Spark, but Yuki's Powder Snow holds her off and partially freezes Dia. Yuki then uses Double Team, creating three clones in which one of them Dia hits for a Scratch attack. Advantage: Yuki.
Match 6 - Sal's Chimchar, Goku vs Richard's Geodude, Boulder: Goku Growls to reduce the damage from Boulder's Tackle. Goku then fires an Ember at Boulder who splashes a Mud Sport with ineffective damage due to typing. Advantage: Boulder.
Match 7 - DM's Mankey gets a free pass this round, not encountering any opponents.
Here are the updated standings for this round:
Gary: Takumi the Mudkip - 6
tbh: Cotton the Swablu - 5
fw: Mankey the Mankey - 5
Sala: Goku the Chimchar - 3
Copy: Chili the Cyndaquil - 3
Mewz: Mudkip the Mudkip - 3
Dave: A'Tuin the Turtwig - 3
Handy: Boulder the Geodude - 3
Josh: Yuki the Snorunt - 3
Kin: Dia the Sentret - 2
Yougi: Gligar the Gligar - 2
EK: Nincada the Nincada - 2
DTG: Nezumi the Pikachu - 2
Again, apologies for the crappy quality, but I didn't want to spend another hour retyping this round in full detail. Please feel free to ask me if you want more specifics on your Pokémon's matchup. Up next is round 4 so things are starting to draw to a close soon! You have until the end of Saturday, September 25th to reply.

Re: [Sep. 2010 Event] Revolution Scramble!
Natsu couldn't help but smile as things had moved along swimmingly for Takumi so far. "Let's keep it up, Takumi!" he called out to his Mudkip. "Let's go for a Mud Slap next and then blast them back with a Water Pulse!"
Re: [Sep. 2010 Event] Revolution Scramble!
Nodding proudly to Boulder, Richard quickly decided what his next orders would be. "Let's just go with a pair of tackles, Boulder. Offence is the best, um, speedfence, right?" He sighed, knowing how little sense it made, but being too caught up in the wind to focus on it too much.

Dave pumped his fist as A'Tuin came out even against an advantaged opponent, before thinking of strategy for the next round.
"Great job, buddy! Now then, Withdraw to take any hits, before coming out to Tackle them hard!"

Sal frowned as Goku lost the next round, however the Fire type did its best, and had faced a Geodude after all.
"Ok, we need to try and get back into this. Growl again, followed by another Ember. Just keep trying, because you're still doing good," he said, trying to cheer his Pokémon up.

Watching the match, Kin realized that his plan wasn't paying off.
"Err... Change of plans, Dia. Just run past them as fast as possible. If they try to attack you, fend them off with Scratch."

Kaito gave a Darth Vader-esque fist pump as he saw Nezumi destroy her opponent.
"That's the way, that's the way!" Kaito called out, flashing a smile at his Pokémon. "That plan seemed to work, so let's try it again. Thundershock to Bite!"

Re: [Sep. 2010 Event] Revolution Scramble!
Joshua had to suppress the urge to race up the hill and embrace his frosty friend, after so successfully dealing with his opponent this round. A small voice in the back of his head told him Yuki would be even further ahead if he'd ordered Powder Snow the second round against the Gligar, but he pushed that pessimism aside for Yuki's sake.
"Great work Yuki dear," the trainer yelled, trying to make his voice carry up the hill. "Same as before little buddy, Powder Snow to Double Team! You're doing fantastic!"

Re: [Sep. 2010 Event] Revolution Scramble!
Yougi was feeling weary now and thought that his Pokémon must be feeling similarly. With two draws and a loss, things hadn't gone well for them so far. But he had to show some enthusiasm to keep his Pokémon spirits up.
"Good effort Gligar, you just got unlucky. Let's try things again with Bite followed by Poison Sting."

Marion felt elated at the sight of his Nincada's success during the round, but the race was still on, and he decided to press his momentum.
"Good job, Nincada!" he shouted. "Use Scratch, then Leech Life!"

Slightly crushed at Chili's failure last round, he instead tried to boost his Pokémon's likely-downed spirits.
"It's okay Chili, you had a type disadvantage!" Will called out. "Use Growl, then Flame Wheel to take them out!"

DM grins as he notices that Mankey manages to escape being noticed, and he grins as he calls out to her.

Pleased with their success so far, even if Cotton had technically tied against her opponent, Tobias decided, once again, to keep it simple.
"Cotton, do the exact same. Peck and Peck some more."

Gale encouraged Mudkip after his last not so decent round. "It's okay Mudkip you're still doing fine, let's go all out offensive this time. Run as fast as you can and Tackle anything out of your way! Then use another Tackle after that," he exclaimed.

Re: [Sep. 2010 Event] Revolution Scramble!
(OOC: Quite a few rematches in this round... xd)
We are coming close to the final leg of the race as the Pokémon run around while they make their way to the top. As paths cross, the Pokémon begin to execute attacks ordered by their trainers to try and position themselves further up the hill.
The first matchup in this round features Yougi's Gligar and Gale's Mudkip. Gligar starts things off by swooping down for a Bite attack, inflicting some damage on Mudkip who retaliates with a Tackle. Gligar then strikes Mudkip with his tail for a Poison Sting, and Mudkip strikes back with another Tackle. Mudkip looks a little woozy as he is lightly poisoned. With that to his advantage, Gligar darts ahead.
Next up features a battle between Natsu's Mudkip, Takumi, and Marion's Nincada. Takumi flings a Mud Slap right at Nincada's face, but she simply brushes it off and uses her Compoundeyes to find Takumi for a Scratch attack. Nincada then Leeches some of Takumi's Life while the Mudkip charges up and then fires off a Water Pulse, knocking Nincada back. In the end, neither Pokémon came out on top.
The next fight begins as a standoff between the primates, Sal's Chimchar, Goku, and DM's Mankey. Goku begins by Growling angrily while Mankey Leers fiercely, the two attacks offsetting each other. Goku then fires off an Ember at Mankey, who buries Goku in a Rock Slide for a tough super effective hit. Mankey races ahead up the hill, emerging as the clear victor while Goku struggles to his feet and caries on behind.
Next up is a rematch from the previous round as Dave's Turtwig, A'Tuin, squares off against Tobias's Swablu, Cotton. Cotton comes in for a Peck attack, only doing slight damage though as A'Tuin Withdraws into his shell to protect himself. As A'Tuin comes back out, Cotton hits him with another Peck, for a super effective blow, while A'Tuin counters with a hard Tackle. Cotton flies ahead as the victor this time.
After that, we come across a matchup between Kaito's Pikachu, Nezumi, and Joshua's Snorunt, Yuki. Nezumi starts things off with a Thundershock, zapping Yuki who returns the blow with a Powder Snow. Nezumi then darts in while Yuki only has time to create just one more Double Team clone, which is all he needs as the Pikachu's Bite destroys it. In the end, neither Pokémon could get an advantage on the other.
Finally, our last matchup of the round features Richard's Geodude, Boulder, and Will's Cyndaquil, Chili. Boulder charges in for a Tackle attack, but the hit is weakened as Chili Growls intimidatingly. Boulder then goes in for another Tackle, meeting Chili's Flame Wheel head-on. As it happened last time, neither Pokémon came out as the victor, calling this matchup a tie.
Once again, Kin's Sentret, Dia, could not seem to find an opponent or be found for that matter as she races on ahead.
As the fourth round comes to a close, here are the updated standings:
Gary: Takumi the Mudkip - 7
tbh: Cotton the Swablu - 7
fw: Mankey the Mankey - 7
Copy: Chili the Cyndaquil - 4
Handy: Boulder the Geodude - 4
Josh: Yuki the Snorunt - 4
Kin: Dia the Sentret - 4
Yougi: Gligar the Gligar - 4
Sala: Goku the Chimchar - 3
Mewz: Mudkip the Mudkip - 3
Dave: A'Tuin the Turtwig - 3
EK: Nincada the Nincada - 3
DTG: Nezumi the Pikachu - 3
As the race nears its conclusion, the Pokémon all begin to crown the hill, nearing its summit. As this happens, the path narrows, creating less room to move around for the Pokémon. Because of this, the final round will feature matchups of three Pokémon at a time, with the last one being a battle of four Pokémon. The winners of the matchups will be awarded points by ranking how they did, and the four-Pokémon matchup's winner will be awarded an extra point. Your deadline is Thursday, September 30th!

Re: [Sep. 2010 Event] Revolution Scramble!
Natsu watched as the path narrowed and the Pokémon were bound to get into bigger battles. This called for a slight change of strategy. "Let's use Double Team, and then use Water Pulse on anyone who comes your way! Keep it up, Takumi!"
Re: [Sep. 2010 Event] Revolution Scramble!
Dave gritted his teeth as A'Tuin took a bit of a beating. He knew he shoulda ordered differently. He saw that the path was narrowing, calling for new tactics.
"Alright A'Tuin, we can do this! Absorb health from the Pokémon it will affect more, then deal out some Revenge on another opponent!"
