Route 46 Get! Will Kronis

Will scouted around the craggy area. "Hm. Do you think we'll find something really interesting here, Chili?" Chili nodded. "Cyn!" "You did awesome on your last battle." Will stopped. "Uh-oh. I just realized, we'll probably find rock types here, which resist Tackle and Flame Wheel. That might be a problem." Will looked at Chili with a reassuring look on his face. "Don't worry, I'm sure you can do it, even if we run into something like that. If we're lucky, we'll find something that doesn't resist fire."

Will barely miffled a squeal of delight. "A Phanphy! Awesome! C'mon Chili, let's-" He soon realized three things.

A. The Phanpy was rolling down the hill fast.
B. The Phanpy was coming right for them.
C. It could not stop.

Will assummed a defensive stance. "Get ready Chili, we need to help stop it!" He cupped his arms down, ready to catch it and absorb the impact.

Will saw it coming closer and closer. He closed his eyes, ready for the pain that would surely come, when the Phanpy rammed into him, knocking him and Chili over while sending itself up. As Will helped Chili up, the Phanpy landed quite luckily on all four paws, giving a battle cry. Will opened up his PokéDex and scanned the Phanpy. "Phanpy, the Long Nose Pokémon. It swings its long snout around playfully, but because it's so strong, it can be dangerous." Will laughed. "Well, that sounds about right. Hey, look! Says here it's not weak to fire attacks!" Chili ignited the flames on its back. "Yep! You know what that means!" Will put away the PokéDex, and looked at the Phanpy. "Alright Chili, Growl then Flame Wheel!"

So, the Phanpy knew at least 3 moves, one of which a pretty cool Defense Curl. The Phanpy pretty much blew off Chili's entire attack. Will would have to catch the Phanpy off guard to deal any significant blow. As the blue Pokémon charged in, Will issued orders. "Take that Tackle, Chili, then Flame Wheel, followed by Smokescreen!"

Okay, the battle was going fine, but the sun was starting to set. They would need to finish the Phanpy, and fast. For some reason Will felt uneasy. There was one more move Phanpy learned at an early age, but Will couldn't really put his finger on it. He remembered one of his friends back in Olivine having a Phanpy... what was it? Odor? Odor Sleuth! Smokescreen would be useless! Will quickly barked out commands to Chili. "It can find you! Quick, Bite, then two Flame Wheels!" Will's hand moved toward his belt, where his PokéBalls were. After those three attacks, Chili would be exhausted, but hopefully the Phanpy would be down enough for a PokéBall to work. Will crossed his fingers on his left hand, grabbing a PokéBall with his right. "You can do it, Chili!"

Will tried to watch the scuffle, but could only hear the squeals of the Pokémon. After he didn't hear anything else, Will threw a PokéBall. He heard it beep twice, but then pop out. "Dang!" The Phanpy should be finished off enough now, though. Will called out what would hopefully be the last order. "Chili, one more Flame Wheel! You can do it!" Will snagged a PokéBall from his belt, ready to toss...
