No dream world abilities... We aren't incorporating 5th gen just yet, so hold off on anything 5th gen related for now.

One question, though- what about when the abilities are implemented? Will everyone be given the choice to change their Pokémon's ability to their dream world ability?


Also, I support only one ability in the PMD world- this means no crazy Bronzongs with no weaknesses.

Right now, I dodn't even really know what the Dream World is... I'll figure that out when BW comes out in america.

Oh, damn. You're like me- want to save as many surprises as me. Well, I won't tell you anything big. The only real importance about the Dream World is Pokémon can have abilities they don't normally have (two big ones- Ninetales and Politoed with Drought and Drizzle, respectivly). Oh, and some moves they got from, say, 3rd Gen move tutors.


That and it all takes place on the computer.

Yeah, I've spoiled little bits of stuff about 5th gen, so I know about the dream world abilities at least. I just want to find out about stuff in the game for myself

You're certainly allowed to apply to become an updator and list the PMD zone in your preferences.

So, I thought the mystery dungeon section was a nice idea since I've currently picked up my Explorers of Time version. Teddiursa is available as a starter, things are looking great since I'm trying to get a Teddiursa on EoT since I discovered Ursarings abilities are teh chiz...

For me, maybe it was just cause after playing Dungeons and Dragons for so long, I've gotten used to group role-playing, and any other way is just weird to me.

@Yougi. Teddiursa's abilities are Pick Up and Quick Feet, while Ursaring's are Guts and Quick Feet. Naturally, if your Teddiursa has Pick Up and evolves, its ability will change to Guts automatically.

Not the point I was making Gary, lol. I was pointing out that when I get a Teddiursa on PMD:EoT, I'm going to start collecting Grimy food to use once he/she evolves into an Ursaring since something like Poison or Burn that could come from it would double it's speed and attack power. Whereas on here, you have to make the impossible choice between the two options if you wanted a Teddiursa/Ursaring.

Oh. I was confused since I thought you were bringing up something new. There has always been 1 ability per Pokémon in Revo, and it's not changing with PMD, even if it is allowed in the games.

I literally just read the PMD starter list. My mind: "I want that one and that one and that one and that one and that one... (etc)" in the voice of Andy Pipkin. I have my first one down to "must be Psychic 'cos awesomeness". I might actually need to choose #2 based on usefulness rather than "OMGILOVETHISONE", since this is separate from the other adventure. Otherwise it'd be "one Fire and one Flying, definitely". Not that choice is a bad thing, I just hate myself for liking all the 'mon I like.

I swear I will ram myself into a wall.

Fairly quickly. I was hoping the recent event and the opening of PMD would attract people back here, which is has done a little bit.

Well, in the game, you play a Pokémon who meets a partner of your choice and together they become an exploration team. The main purpose of an exploration team is to go out into 'mystery dungeons' that have ever changing floor designs to help out clients through missions, locate items of value and/or grind levels on the Pokémon that inhabit those dungeons. On occasion, the Pokémon you beat will ask to join your team, although you can also obtain Pokémon through eggs and the client Pokémon asking to join your team. The story in Explorers of Time is very emotive and spans time itself, but is made more interesting through the host of interesting characters that you find. And has some impressive areas. But since this area probably won't go into that story, I see no real reason to go in depth regarding it.

Also, Copy, as far as I can tell, I don't plan on joining the PMD section. This is for exactly the same reason that I'll be stuck to my DS over the next few days or until I manage to hit the jackpot. For more details, see my posts on the previous page...

That makes sense. I only read the rules when they first were up. I guess I'll prolly go sign up then. Maybe not until tomorrow though.
