Vermillion City Thunder Gym Leader, Lt. Surge

As you step into this Gym, you can't help noticing that it looks more befitting of someone specialising in Steel-type Pokémon. The entire inside is like a huge metal box, steel plating covering every inch of surface, including the floor. Bright lights provide illumination in this windowless room. In random places around the edge of the room, large electrodes stick out of the floor, sparking with electricity every so often. But it is the large man at the other end of the arena who has your attention, and he calls out to you at your approach.

"Hey, kid! What do you think you're doing here? You won't live long in combat! That's for sure! I tell you kid, electric Pokémon saved me during the war! They zapped my enemies into paralysis! The same as I'll do to you!"

Beginning Trainers:
The rules for this Gym are as follows: The match will be a three-on-three match, whereby each side will use three Pokémon each. The first Trainer to defeat all of the opponent's Pokémon will be declared the victor. Also, only the challenger will be permitted to switch Pokémon during battle. Let the battle begin!

Voltorb Lv. 21
Raichu Lv. 24

Advanced Trainers:
The rules for this Gym are as follows: The match will be a six-on-six match, whereby each side will use six Pokémon each. The first Trainer to defeat all of the opponent's Pokémon will be declared the victor. Also, only the challenger will be permitted to switch Pokémon during battle. Let the battle begin!

Should you defeat Lt. Surge in battle, you will receive the Thunder Badge as proof of your victory. This badge allows the use of HM 02, Fly, outside of battle. You will also be given the TM Shock Wave. Post a new thread when you are ready to take the Vermillion Gym Challenge.
