Route 34

To the north of Ilex Forest is the ever-sunny Route 34, a grassy stroll on the way to Goldenrod City. The route banks on a beach to the western side, and is also famous for the Pokémon Daycare Center, where a pleasant elderly couple will look after your Pokémon and may even breed them. There are plenty of trainers around to get some decent training in as well.

Goldenrod City

The biggest city in all of Johto, there is always something to do in Goldenrod City. You can check out the Radio Tower, the casino, the Department Store, the train station, the underground shopping district, the bicycle shop, the flower shop, the Pokémon Center, and last but not least, the Pokémon Gym.

Route 35

To the north of Goldenrod City, Route 35 is a neatly cut path where some trainers like to gather and battle. Off to the side are some grassy patches where Pokémon may be found, but the main attraction is up ahead.

National Park

The National Park is a beautiful park where many Pokémon call home, and the grass is designed to look like a giant Poké Ball, with a large fountain in the middle. The main lure however is the weekly Bug Catching Competition, where trainers try to catch the rarest bug Pokémon for great prizes.

Route 36 [West]

Route 36 is a grassy area that is surrounded by thick trees, some of which might even be so dense that it could be difficult to find a path. To the west is the National Park.
