  • Route 39

Route 39 is a short, hilly plain that leads into Olivine City to the south. More importantly though, it is the location of Johto’s Moo Moo Milk farm, home of the freshest milk on the continent.

  • Olivine City

Olivine is a quiet sea-faring city, placed right on the beach. Its most prominent feature is the lighthouse that looms over the city and shines out to the ocean. There is also a harbor where a ferry service runs, the Pokémon center, Pokémart, and also a Pokemon Gym.

  • Route 40

Route 40 points to the south-west of Olivine, and along a rocky beach, goes out to the vast sea. HM Surf is required to take on these waves, and it would be handy if you’d like to stay afloat past countless Pokémon and trainers.

  • Route 41

The seas get rougher as they open into Route 41, home of the treacherous Whirl Islands. More and more sea as far as the eye can see with a myriad of Pokémon and trainers swimming around as well.

  • Cianwood City

The small island of Cianwood City lies on the western shores of Route 41, and is the most isolated city in Johto. Here you can use the Pokémon Center, go to the special medicine supplier, take on the Pokémon Gym.

  • Route 47

Once passing through the Cliff Edge Gate to the west of Cianwood City, you enter Route 47, which crosses a very high up cliff path with suspension bridges and waterfalls. It is possible to take a path down to the beach.

  • Route 48

Route 48 is a small stretch to the north of Route 47 that connects to the Safari Zone Gate. There is a rapidly flowing river that passes through the route, so there are bridges for crossing all over the place. There are also some hidden away plains where pokemon like to gather.

  • Safari Zone Gate

The Safari Zone Gate is in a small clearing of forest area where a few merchants have set up tents to sell their wares or hold events. There is a Pokemon Center on site as well as the brand new Johto Safari Zone.
