Personality: Kin is rather timid for someone taking on the independence of traveling around the region with nothing but his trusted Pokémon. He approaches situations cautiously and carefully. However, his light-handed way of dealing with things has left him rather unprepared for surprising circumstances. As carefully as he enters a situation, he often solves it with all the grace of a Piloswine. Feels more comfortable among younger trainers than those of his own age group. Just don't tease him too much; He goes on the defensive quite quickly, and his docile nature takes a sudden invert.
Appearance: His size is rather average for his age, more like that of a boy of fourteen than one nearing sixteen. He has dark purple eyes, and a curly mass of blueish brown hair. His pants are a calming blue, with a silver streak down each side, and his shirt is a silvery gray, with yellow stripes from his collar to cuffs. His sleeves and pant legs are a tad too long, covering a good portion of his shoes and often totally obscuring his hands from
view. Skin is somewhat tanned from the bright sun of Olivine, but noticeably less so than other natives of coastal cities.
Background: Kin was a rather quiet kid, especially compared to the typically outgoing citizens of the trade-central Olivine. He had a rather average family with two younger sisters and a older brother, and a rather
average life. However, he preferred to play inside, away from others, which may of been the cause of his timid nature. However, he did have two intense interests. The first of which was Pokémon; one of the only
things that drew him out of his home was the chance to see a new one, and he spent much of his time playing with the family Corsola. The second was collecting but, mind you, not just the normal hording kids growing up in such a natural treasure trove enjoyed. No, he wanted to know how everything worked, and kept a collection of things, giving his sisters or parents unwieldy lectures on how such-and-such worked, and how the working of it related to the working of so-and-so, and how the two worked when used together... It was enough to drive anyone crazy after
a while. As he grew older, he became interested in not just the logical application of objects, but also their artistic value. Unfortunately, this caused him to become more and more reclusive, eventually only venturing out to find a new item or see a new Pokémon. His family did the logical thing- they tried to think of how to solve this. And think of how to solve it they did: They suggested he take a journey. New Pokémon to see, new things to find and, best of all, it would hopefully make him more sociable. Kin jumped at the chance to explore,
deciding to start his journey in his very own region, to extensively search out all it's hidden wonders before going somewhere totally unfamiliar. Arrangements were made, and within the month he was on his way to New Bark Town to begin his adventure.

The underside of his right foot has a peculiar black crescent-shaped birthmark.
His already timid countenance gets even worse around girls around the same age as him.
If a Pokémon exists, chances are he finds it cute. He has yet to meet one he feels otherwise about.

Kin's Collection of utterly pointless stuff (And Kin's thoughts about them)
Used Spark TM
When it's tutoring program was run, it caused the PokéDex to generate a beam that somehow taught basic knowledge of a move- Spark- to Dia. How did it do this? My theory is that, though the beam appears to be a simple yellow, in reality the beam is composed of minute flashes of color in certain locations that generate a series of subliminal messages and thoughts, filling the Pokémon's brain with the knowledge and (false) memories of generating the energy and power necessary to fulfill the use of the move.
